We love this urban contemporary pool at this St. Laurent home. It’s a great example of how you can create something remarkable in a small outdoor space. There are a few tricks at play here to make this little oasis feel larger than it is. For starters, the pool’s linear shape and clean lines give it a longer look while the steps that run from one side of the pool to the other make the pool feel open and wide. The larger steps also invite you to get your feet wet!
Cut St. Marc limestone laid in a linear brick pattern complements the shape of the pool and gives the terrace an open and more expansive look. Contrary to what most people would think, the oversized planters give height to the space rather than making it feel small and crowded. Combine all of that with the cedar privacy hedge and you have your own “not so little” tropical getaway.
